For the love of flight
We are northwind
We are pilots with a love of vintage aviation. We have a small but growing collection of vintage aircraft from the 1930s and 1940s. Read about our aircraft and follow our exploits as we fly these beautiful old machines.
The pilot maker
Designed and built in the 1930s, the Harvard holds legendary status as a fighter-trainer transitioning pilots from single-engined primary trainers to single-engined fighters. It was in active service in some airforces right up until the 1970s.
Hello marinell
The P-51 Mustang designed by North American Aviation is perhaps the zenith of piston aircraft engineering. It harnessed the latest in technology from the time and was instrumental in securing air supremacy for the Allied forces during World War II.
